Hello all! I am currently back in Cameroon. I sent Mission Doctors Association a new blog post that they have not yet posted, but if you are interested you can see my blog here: www.ShisongHeartCall.blogspot.com We are doing well here. It has been a little slow because we have had trouble getting enough blood for a couple of our patients who have rare blood types, but we are now moving along. Dr. Christine Birnie, Department Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Associate Professor, has been appointed to serve as Interim Dean of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, effective immediately. Birnie joined the Wegmans School of Pharmacy in 2006 as a founding faculty, and was promoted to Department Chair, Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2010. Most recently, she also served as the Interim Associate Dean. Early this past Friday morning Susan Morehouse’s father passed peacefully into the arms of his Father with her at his side at St. John’s Nursing Home. He was 86, widowed for 7 years, and had led a full, rich life up until months before his death when a series of health reversals left him bedridden and progressively debilitated. The staff at Cloverwood, Rochester General Hospital, and St. John’s Home was an inspiration in their professional devotion to his personal care, and family and friends have been a wonderful source of support.
