Steve Noblett
Steve has been the Executive Director of
CCHF since 2007 and for years has been involved in church planting and Christian leadership development in the U.S., the U.K., southern and central Africa, India, and Central America. “There is no great field of need or opportunity than among the underserved. Christian healthcare to the poor is a major key in helping the church to break out of its bubble and reconnect the world with the message of Christ and His Kingdom.” Steve and his wife Victoria also live and work with urban youth in an under-resourced area of Memphis.
Dr. David Kim
David grew up in New York City and has had many experiences with the city’s poor. But it wasn’t until he started medical school in one of the poorest parts of Brooklyn, and subsequently trained at that medical school’s public city hospital, that it became clear to him that God was calling him to use his medical training to serve the underserved.
David and his wife Janet are both internal medicine/pediatrics physicians who work together at Beacon Christian Community Health Center, a ministry they helped launch in Staten Island, NYC, where David serves as CEO. Beacon is the first faith-based, state-licensed community health center in New York.
Takesha Leonard
After graduating from the University at Buffalo in 2001 and working as an RN for 8 years, Takesha obtained a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from D’Youville College. Before coming to
Jericho Road Community Health Center in March, 2010, she worked for 4 years as a critical care nurse in the emergency room at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. She is the main provider at Jericho Road’s East side location but still works regularly at their West side office. Originally from the Bronx, she believes she was sent to Jericho Road for a reason – to provide respectful and quality care for the people that need it the most.
Dr. Bill Morehouse
Dr. Bill is a full time Family Physician who also serves as the CEO of
His Branches and Medical Director of
His Branches Health Services. As a long term member of both CMDA and CCHF, he is best described in his own words: “I’m a happy person who loves getting to know and being able to help people of all ages. I connect with little children (and the little child in most adults) almost immediately. Sharing the joys and trials of relationships, pregnancy and delivery, and family life are the things about family practice that really light my fire. I’ve found that having a sense of humor and seeing God’s love at work can see us through some of life’s most difficult times, if we can keep the faith and hang in there together.”
Dr. David Holmes
David is an active leader in CMDA of Western NY and serves on the faculty of
the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine as
Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Director of Global Health Education. Over the years he has been honored as one of the Top Docs in WNY in 2013, received an Alumni Achievement Award in 2011, was named the New York State Family Physician of the Year in 2007, and was granted the Siegel Teaching Award in 2004 and an award in Humanism in Medicine in 1999. David and his wife and family are active in their church and many community service initiatives, including the
Good Neighbors Health Care free clinic.
Dr. Bill Griffin
Dentistry, Bill says, allows him to use his God-given creativity to benefit others. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Dr. Griffin has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years at
City Center Dental Care in Newport News and also treats patients at the
Lackey Free Clinic, as well as spending 3-4 weeks on international dental mission trips. He and his wife Linda have two children, Katherine and Will, and are members of Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church in Hampton.
