Millers in Africa 10-22

Back to Kenya!

It seems like an eternity since I was at Tenwek in February. The cleft trip is restarting after a 2 year break due to COVID. We have a small team heading to AIC CURE in Kijabe, Kenya. This will be a 1-week trip to repair cleft lip and palate defects. There will be 4 surgeons, accompanying nurses and techs who will team up with the Kenyan hospital staff.  This work is such a tangible demonstration of God’s redemptive power.

Tenwek Hospital will be my next destination for 3 weeks. As usual, I have no idea what awaits me at this growing referral hospital. My prayers have been that the Lord be in charge of which patients present. That He provide all the assistance I need. Most of all, I pray that those who do not know Jesus are drawn to this place and find His love there.

As always, we will visit Kitoben home for children and try to meet some of their needs. They continue to struggle due to rising costs during COVID times. Their biggest need right now is a new latrine. They spend over 150 USD a month emptying their outdated system. Jimmy will be going to new schools, churches and working with Tenwek Community Health to distribute water filters.

Please pray fervently for our travels. We hunger for the infilling of the Holy Spirit so we can be living water for those in need. Pray that we can bring words of encouragement and healing for His people.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Chase and Jimmy Miller
